The Shoe Game
Wedding season is coming – time to plan fun and memorable moments!
Your wedding day is one of life's biggest celebrations, and it should be filled with touching moments, laughter and good memories. One of the most popular ways to create a great atmosphere at the reception is with games. Games bring people together, break the ice and create unforgettable moments your guests will talk about long after the party.
One game that always goes down well, and that many of "my couples" love, is the famous shoe game.

What is the shoe game?
The shoe game is a simple and hilarious activity that gets both the couple and the guests laughing. As a photographer, I love capturing the laughter and happy faces of both the couple and their guests.
How it works:
Preparation
Prepare a list of questions in advance. The questions should be fun, easy to answer and perhaps a little embarrassing (but not too much).
Playing the game
The newlyweds sit back to back in the middle of the room, each holding two shoes – one of their own and one of their partner's.
When a question is read out, each of them raises the shoe of the person they think fits the description best.
The game can be planned and run by the toastmaster, the best man and maid of honour, or friends
This game is a sure winner for laughter and a great atmosphere – and it often gives a glimpse of small, funny details about the couple's everyday life together.

Important tips:
Find the balance. The questions should be fun without being too embarrassing. Remember that this is a day of celebration, not a day to make anyone uncomfortable.
Avoid questions that could be seen as sensitive, such as past relationships or overly intimate details.
Questions that always get a laugh:
Who is the most romantic?
Who is the boss in the relationship?
Who asked the other out on the first date?
Who is the messiest?
Who is the better driver?
Who makes the best food?
Who spends the longest time in the bathroom?
Who said "I love you" first?
Who is better at remembering birthdays?
Who has the best style?
Who is most likely to get lost?
Who turns off the alarm first in the morning?
Who has the sweetest tooth?
Who is better at saving money?
Who is most likely to forget where they left the car keys?
Who is better at giving compliments?
Who is most eager to plan the next holiday?
Who is most likely to get sentimental over old photos?

How exciting! I photograph weddings in the Haugesund region and all over Norway, and I'm always ready with my camera when the shoes come out.
